Cape Ann For A Day

Starts on Saturday May 6th at 5am (Gloucester, MA location TBA) & ends around 8:00pm for a sunrise to sunset one-day workshop!

This is a great workshop for those folks that can only ‘break away’ for just one day! It’ll be a long day of nothing but photography and exploring some great locations with two photographers that live near this wonderful photo rich area. If you’ve never been to the ‘Other Cape’ then this will be a be a great way to see the highlights.  Lighthouse/s, Motif #1, lobster boats, small towns, harbors, dinghies, and dining on the Essex River.

Cape Ann is a rocky cape in northeastern Massachusetts on the Atlantic Ocean. It is located approximately 30 miles northeast of Boston and marks the northern limit of Massachusetts Bay. Cape Ann includes the city of Gloucester, and the towns of Essex, Manchester-by-the-Sea, and Rockport.  The coastal towns of Rockport and Gloucester are premier destinations on Cape Ann.  Located just north of Boston, each town features a vibrant fishing history and unique coastal features that make for spectacular photography. Harbors, fishing boats, beaches, lighthouses, small town feel and the allure of the coast make this a premier location for a day of photography.

During the day we will work in the field with attendees as we explore a variety of subject matter.

In this workshop we will cover:

Subject Development
Use of Lenses
Use of Filters (Polarizers & ND)
Creative Thinking
Shooting in Low Light
Long Exposures
